Here you can see the classic Norwegian lafet. Its notch is saddle-like: that form has the best properties for settling process in a log house. Also you can see the classical profile of the scribe. Producing the scribe our specialists use traditional axe. This profile is rather sophisticated, but it's necessary to produce tight connection between the logs (its connection must be tight after 2-3 years, when the house is in full equilibrium with the environment).

 

Any log is subjected to cracking. We make special cuts on topside of a log, then the next log covers it with the scribe. So you can see the cracking is parallel to the wall, optimal to a log home.
